Business: Tattoo studio "Schwarze Nadel" with 3 artists and one piercing station. Customers book

anywhere a customer books not a table but a person for a period of time.

Workflow
Artist gets a shift in the shift plan → publish
→ Customer opens the appointment page → chooses an artist → chooses a free slot
→ Pays the deposit online → appointment is binding
→ Customer arrives → "Gast platzieren" (seat guest) at the POS
→ Deposit is credited to the customer account
→ Session → book the service (hours, motif size, piercing jewellery)
→ Offset against customer credit → collect the remaining amount
→ Receipt with TSE signature
Special Features
- The shift plan is the appointment calendar. A person resource can only be booked if there
is a published shift for the artist on that day. Approved holiday and an approved
sick note are deducted automatically (a holiday that has only been requested is not yet) — a
sick artist disappears from online booking without anyone touching the appointment page. A
draft in the shift plan is not enough.
- Map breaks exactly: the shift plan only knows the duration of a break, not when it takes
place. To block out the lunch break precisely, create a blocked time for the person covering
that time.
- Buffer between appointments: tidying up, disinfecting, follow-up talk — the buffer time is
maintained on the resource or as a default on its group and is read afresh on every
availability check.
- The deposit is calculated per person. For an appointment for one person this is exactly the
deposit amount. If the customer does not show up, the studio can keep it or refund it.
- Where the deposit ends up: on "Gast platzieren" (seat guest) it is credited to the
customer account as credit — the appointment has no table a credit could go to. At checkout
it is offset using the payment method "Kundenguthaben" (customer credit). If the guest booked
online without a customer account, DiKAS creates one from the name and email of the reservation;
an existing customer card with the same email is reused.
- Rebooking by drag: if an appointment moves, staff drag the bar in the booking calendar to
another time or another artist.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a server?
Only with multiple POS terminals. A single Android tablet operates standalone with SQLite — no server, no internet needed.
Does DiKAS work without internet?
Yes. The MAUI app on Android works completely offline. Internet is only needed for: GloriaFood orders, route optimization, DATEV email delivery, FinTS banking.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. DiKAS is modular — start with one tablet and expand as needed with kitchen display, delivery service, additional POS terminals, etc.
What Android version do I need?
Android 10 or newer. Recommended: Android 12+.
Can I use existing hardware?
Yes. DiKAS runs on any Android device (tablet/smartphone) or in the browser (touch PC with Chrome/Edge). Existing ESC/POS printers and ZVT terminals are supported.
How much does the DiKAS software cost?
DiKAS offers various license models — from single station to enterprise licenses. Contact us for a personalized quote.
